Can a college student continue to be a nudist in the dorms? I have been a practicing nudist for almost 5 years now, ever since I was a 14 and my parents let me live in the guest house in back and treated it as my own apartment. Now I am going to college and am required to live in the dorms my first 2years. Despire my best efforts I have been assigned a roommate in a coed dorm (the only all girl dorm has a 1year waiting list).
Does this mean I am forced to give up my much beloved lifestyle?
What if my roommate is cool with it but has a boyfriend who comes over?
What about the others on the floor walking by as my roommate opens and closes the door, will that be an issue?
I personally could care less who sees me naked, my conserns are more offfending others and getting into trouble. |
| You might want to check with your dorm rules. Going out to live in public means you have to obey public decency laws and respect others. If you want to continue your lifestyle at home, you should rent your own apartment or look for nudist-friendly housing. |

| Most of these questions can only be answered by you or by reading the school's rules. The rest of us would just be speculating. |

I went to a nude beach during my freshman year at college on a dare and discovered I loved it. The problem you'll face are judgmental people (who I found were mostly female) and guys who associate the nudist lifestyle with being a woman who's easy to hook-up with to have sex. In my case I was a weekend nudist until my junior year and only then managed to share an off-campus apartment with two other girls, one of which was also a nudist and the other really easy going with it.
I'm not going to get into the logistics of watching TV nude when your roommate and her boyfriend come bursting through the door other than saying "been there and I have empathy." Make darn sure you and your girlfriends are on the same personality page and don't be a bit surprised if that platonic guy friend who saw you prancing around the apartment nude starts suddenly ringing your cell phone panting like a puppy asking for a date. The attitude comes with them having a penis.
Being a college nudist takes maturity and just logically thinking all relationships and actions to a safe conclusion. Heck if I did it and survived you can too! |
